The Danish owner has added seven and a half panamaxes and supramaxes this year to take its orderbook to 37 vessels, its annual report said.
Its latest newbuildings add to the 18.5 vessels placed into the company’s book in 2013. The figure includes vessels owned and chartered via joint ventures.
Chief executive Carsten Mortensen declines to reveal details of the latest newbuildings, but suggests the company is well placed to secure funding for the ships.
