The yard told the Hina news agency that the company "unilaterally" junked the contract.
Croatian media said delays were to blame.
The yard had two 14,000-dwt vessels on order for Jumbo. They were contracted in 2011.
Clarksons has them listed for delivery in April and May of this year.
