The firm ships are worth $600m, with two options also being discussed, Asian reports said.
The state-owned shipbuilder said the 65,000-dwt vessels will be delivered from the first quarter of 2017 until the first quarter of 2017.
A final contract is expected to be confirmed in the third quarter of 2014.
