It has bought the 5,576-teu YM March and YM Great (both built 2004) just a few days after a $92m private placement.
The two vessels are chartered to Yang Ming (UK) at a net charter rate of $12,000 per day.
They are expected to be delivered to the Athens-headquartered company by mid-October 2014.
Based on the existing time charterparties, the charterer has the option to redeliver the YM Great at any time between 7 September 2014 and 7 March 2015 and YM March at any time between 6 November this year and 6 April next year.
