The Rederi AB Transatlantic unit said the 3,250-dwt SBS Cirrus (built 1985) was delivered to its new owner on Tuesday.
“The transaction is motivated by Viking Supply Ships’ strategy to focus on modern tonnage,” it said.
The deal will add NOK 0.8m ($125,000) to its third quarter profit account.
The company now has eight anchor-handlers and five PSVs. The PSVs were all built between 2003 and 2007.
