The two 6,800-dwt vessels were both constructed at Royal Niestern Sander shipyard.

Family-owned Aasen took delivery of the first ship today while the second vessel will be taken next week.

Brokers say the ships changing hands are the Humberborg and Hudsonborg, which were sold for $5m enbloc.

They will be re-named Aastun and Aasfjord respectively.

The company did not give a price for the purchase but said funding for the vessels came from a loan from Sparebanken Vest and its own equity.
