The company will build a new hybrid ferry for Scottish state-controlled owner Caledonian MacBrayne (CalMac).

The deal is worth £12m ($19.5m).

The yard was forced into administration in August, but was bought by the private investment firm within weeks and has now been renamed Ferguson Marine Engineering

The new ships will carry 150 passengers, 23 cars and two HGVs, and is expected to enter into operation in the spring of 2016, the Daily Record reported.
