TOO subsidiary ALP Maritime Services says it has agreed to acquire the vessels for about $220m subject to satisfactory inspections.
The DP2-rated ships are the 306 tonnes bollard pull (tbp) Orcus (built 2010), the 301-tbp Uranus (built 2009), the 218-tbp Ursus (built 2008), the 219-tbp Janus (built 2007), the 207-tbp Taurus (built 2007) and the 192-tbp Magnus (built 2006).
But Hamburg-based Harms Bergung Transport & Heavylift GmbH & Co, which currently operates the vessels, has disputed the sale.
