CCL, which operates short cruises between the port of Palm Beach and the Bahamas, has taken delivery of the ship in Freeport, where it is currently undergoing refitting before a planned return to service in February under the name Grand Celebration.
The ship will be a permanent replacement for CCL’s 36,000-dwt cruiseship Bahamas Celebration (built 1981), which has been out of action since hitting an unidentified object off Freeport in early November.
