He will be responsible for all markets in Asia and the Middle East, except China.
Fosnavaag, 51, has captained several types of offshore vessels and has also worked as operation manager for Siem Offshore.
He said: “I have good experience from offshore vessels both as a captain on board and from managing vessels from onshore.
“I believe that this experience will prove useful in my job for Havyard and that my expertise can benefit Havyard’s customers.”
