Oslo-listed Siem, which trades as Star Reefers, is in the process of offloading the 523,178-cbf Honduras Star (built 1992).

It told investors on the eve of the Easter holidays that the ship is likely to fetch $6m.

A profit of $400,000 will be recorded on the deal with cash used to boost working capital, Siem says.

Honduras Star, the latest in a line of older vessels to leave the company’s fleet, is likely to be handed over to its new owner in late May or early June.
