The total cost of the four vessels is expected to run to $290m which suggests that the Singapore based but Oslo listed owner has got something of a bargain.
BW LPG has not specified the slots it is taking over but they may well be from China Peace who have a series of six 84,000-cbm vessels on order from DSME.
The China Peace vessels were ordered at a price of $79m to $80m which points to BW LPG getting a discount of about $7m a vessel.
