Mexico’s Baja Ferries has increased its offer for France’s bankrupt ro-pax group SNCM.
The company said its revised bid is “better socially and financially” and will involve retaining 826 workers, 76 more than before, as well as six of the seven ferries.
It added it will pay a price of EUR 15.2m ($17.24m) for the vessels.
It will also take part in a EUR 70m redevelopment of the port of Marseille, putting in EUR 30m of its own money.
