Ship Finance International (SFL) has slated two product-tanker newbuildings at a Korean shipyard.

The order marks an entry into the clear market for the Ole Hjertaker-led company, which already has a large presence in the crude sector with 12 VLCCs and 15 suezmax vessels.

SFL said the contract is for two 114,000-dwt long-range-2 (LR2) oil product carriers at the unidentified shipyard in Korea.
