Denmark’s DFDS is closing in on a takeover of ferry owner Polferries.
Reports in Poland quote government sources as saying DFDS has been admitted through to the next stage of the company’s privatisation process, aiming to acquire 50% plus one share.
DFDS has not commented on the matter, but is believed to be the only runner in the race.
Poland said last year it was again seeking a buyer for the owner, known in Polish as Polska Zegluga Baltycka Spolka Akcyjna.
