A new CoscoCS cruise venture is looking to buy between five and eight vessels for operations in the South China Sea.

The ships will be acquired to run cruises over the next five years, the state-owned China Daily newspaper said.

They will be operated by Sanya International Cruise Development, jointly owned by CoscoCS, China National Travel Service and China Communications Construction.

The company will also build four cruise terminals in Sanya, a resort city on the island of Hainan.
