Vietnam’s trade and industry ministry has outlined three possible solutions to the problem of the loss-making Dung Quat Shipyard.
The Thoi Bao Kinh Te website said the first scenario envisages a restructuring under the ministry, with current owner PetroVietnam also involved.
Another option is a transfer of the yard, with the final course of action being bankruptcy.
Dung Quat Shipyard was established in 2006 as part of state shipyard group Vinashin, which became SBIC.
