Germany’s Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft has ensured a positive finish to the year with a fresh newbuilding contract from Brittany Ferries.
The owner has contracted a single 2,600-lane-metre newbuilding at FSG, TradeWinds is told.
While the price is not being disclosed, the owner will take delivery of the new vessel in the first half of 2019.
FSG, which has completed a restructuring, believes the ro-pax market outlook is quite positive at a time when many other shipping sectors are struggling.
