Fincantieri has secured an extension in the privatisation of Singapore-listed shipbuilder Vard.
The Italian group had been expected to close the $86m move today but the deadline has now been pushed forward until 12 January.
A statement issued by Credit Suisse on behalf of Vard explained the terms of the transaction had not been changed.
Fincantieri already holds more than 55% of Vard and last month offered SGD 0.24
