Shipowner Stolt-Nielsen has signed its eagerly-awaited deal to order up to five small-scale LNG carrier newbuildings worth up to $165m.

 Keppel Offshore & Marine subsidiary Keppel Singmarine announced it had won a contract worth a total of SGD103m ($74m) to build two 7,500-cbm LNG carriers for the shipowner's arm Stolt-Nielsen Gas (SNG) with three options for one additional ship.

The two firm vessels are for delivery in the second and third quarters of 2019.
