M/Maritime has returned to Japan with yet another handysize newbuilding order.
Clients of the Mytilineos family backed outfit signed a deal last week for two 37,000-dwt units at Saiki Heavy Industries, M/Maritime says. Both vessels are set to be delivered in the first half of 2019.
The company did not reveal price details for the order. However, TradeWinds understands it was inked at low $20m levels, in line with current prices for Japanese-built, full-spec handysize vessels.
