Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) workers have voted against a potential wage agreement, according to the yard's union.
The Yonhap news agency reported the union as saying that 56.1% of 8,804 members who cast their ballots rejected a December deal.
The union added that unhappiness with performance-related bonuses could have been the reason.
HHI is not commenting.
It is not known when talks with management will resume.
