China Shipbuilding Industry Co (CSIC) has won jumboisation contracts from the third of the three top international liner companies after chairman Hu Wenming's personal visit to Europe last month.

A fresh deal with France's CMA CGM appears to have been reduced from an expected size of up to 10 ships to just four for the time being.

Last Friday CMA CGM firmed up a four-ship contract with Wuchuan Shipbuilding Heavy Industry to lengthen four 13,800-teu boxships, giving them capacity of approximately 17,000 teu.
