Qatar has ordered nine coast guard vessels at Turkey's Ares Shipyard.
The ministry of interior inked the deal at the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference, the Qatar Tribune reported.
The country wants to increase the security of its territorial waters.
Three of the ships will be 48 metres long and the rest 24 metres in length.
