South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has put an offshore module manufacturing yard up for sale as it looks to cut costs.
The Pulse daily cited industry sources as saying the company held a board meeting and decided to sell idle plants, including the site in Onsan, which once employed 1,000 people.
HHI opened an additional Onsan facility in 2011 due to surge in offshore demand.
