Giuseppe Bono looks set to remain as CEO of Italian yard group Fincantieri after his current term of office expires.

Bloomberg reported that Italy’s government is leaning toward renewing his mandate at the state-controlled firm.

This was seen as another sign of growing influence for the business-friendly League party over its anti-establishment coalition partner, the Five Star Movement.

And deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini said the idea of possibly replacing Bono was off the table, according to Reuters.
