A large shipping crowd gathered in Singapore for an event co-hosted by Oshima Shipbuilding and Sumitomo Corp.
In its third year of collaboration, the cocktail reception held by the Japanese bulker builder and compatriot trading house at the Four Seasons Hotel was attended by about 200 people — including special guest Kenji Shinoda, Japan’s ambassador to Singapore.
The improved dry bulk market and recent Chinese New Year celebrations helped to buoy the mood, while the sushi was in abundance and the wine flowed freely.
