Greece’s Pantheon Tankers is interested in ordering medium-range (MR) tankers at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding, according to some brokers.
The Athens-based company is rumoured to have signed a letter of intent (LOI) for two firm 50,000-dwt vessels costing $33m each plus two options at the South Korean yard with delivery in 2019.
Pantheon officials declined to comment, in line with standard company policy not to discuss such matters.
