STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co has confirmed it has filed for court receivership.
It did not provide any details about the plan however.
The decision comes after unions at the shipbuilder failed to accept the company’s restructuring plans, reports the Yonhap news agency.
This is the second time STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co will have been placed under court receivership in less than two years.
