Dutch owner Vroon has retrofitted a tanker chartered by Irving Oil so it can operate in emission-control areas (ECAs).
The 37,000-dwt Iver Progress (built 2007) has had an exhaust-gas scrubber installed in Gibraltar, the owner said.
This was in addition to a normal special survey. The vessel was repainted in Irving’s colours and renamed Nor’Easter.
It has been on charter to Irving since November 2014.
