Toisa has resumed control of a tanker arrested before it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US last month.

The Gregory Callimanopulos-led shipowner said the 113,000-dwt United Journey (built 2010) was released through a negotiated court order with Citibank, which seized it in the Caribbean Netherlands on 24 December last year.

The vessel has been idle in St Eustatius since then.
