Trader Koch is taking two suezmax tankers from US-listed Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) on three-year charters, TradeWinds is told.
The 164,000-dwt Euronike (built 2005) and 158,000-dwt Pentathlon (built 2009) have been fixed at an undisclosed rate. Oslo broker Fearnleys says a three-year rate for suezmaxes is $21,000 per day. The Pentathlon was purchased in July 2015 as Yasa Polaris from Yasa Tankers for $55.6m.
