Pirates attempted to hit a Greek tanker with an RPG earlier today, the first attack against a big commercial ship following a series of incidents off Somalia in previous months.

TradeWinds understands the vessel under attack was the 70,297-dwt Muskie (built 2003), which was sailing in the Bab Al Mandeb strait between Djibouti and Somalia.

Sources said the assailants fired an RPG at the ship, which suffered some damage.
