DSD adds two more MR tankers to newbuilding basket

Stavanger-based tanker owner DSD Shipping is boosting its newbuilding programme by taking two more medium-range (MR) tankers at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD).

TradeWinds reported in July that the Norwegian owner had signed up for two 50,000-dwt products tankers at the yard with an option for two more ships.

Chief executive Oddvar Hausken of DSD confirms the two options have been declared.
