Russian ports agency Rosmorport is planning to order an LNG bunker tanker.

The vessel will be between 3,000 cbm and 5,000 cbm, Vladimir Shtrambrand, head of its fleet construction and development department, told PortNews.

The ship will be built at the domestic Onezhsky shipyard.

It will be based on the hull of an unfinished Project RST22 tanker.

Rosmorport will not operate the ship itself, but will continue talks with three bunker suppliers to run it.
