MISC could emerge as one of the few winners from the hurricanes that have ravaged the US ports and oil industry infrastructure.
“MISC should experience a direct impact from Hurricane Harvey and Irma, given its market leadership in US Gulf lightering activities,” says UOB Kay Hian analyst Kong Ho Meng.
“While we believe lightering rates have spiked since the end of August, this could be offset by uncertainties in cost and operational delays.”
