The master of a tanker involved in the clean-up of the Agia Zoni II spill off Greece has been convicted of oil smuggling.
The captain of the 2,500-dwt chemical vessel Lassea (built 1975) received a suspended two-year sentence in a Piraeus court, the Greek Observer reported.
The chief mechanic had also been arrested last month, but was found not guilty.
