Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) may continue expanding its fleet after just taking the last delivery of a 18-month newbuilding programme involving 15 vessels, one analyst says.

"They've been open to fleet expansion as long as they have a long-term charter attached to it," said Maxim Group analyst James Jang. "This is all part of their strategy."

The New York-listed tanker firm announced today that it has wrapped up the programme with the delivery of the 112,700-dwt ice-class aframax tanker Bergen TS (built 2017).
