A German-owned tanker is reported to have become only the second VLCC built after the turn of the millennium to be scrapped.
Sources point to the 308-000-dwt DS Valentina (ex-Titan Glory, built 2000) being sent for demolition at a price of $418 per ldt.
At this level the Hyundai Heavy Industries built tanker would have fetched $18.1m.
