Eurotankers snaps up Ridgebury aframax

Eurotankers has bought the 105,000-dwt Ridgebury Sally B (built 2003), a manager at the buyer confirms.

While he declines to comment on the price, brokers suggest a figure in excess of $11m has been paid.

It is believed to mark the second aframax sale by Ridgebury in quick succession after it parted with the sister Ridgebury Alice M in January.

This week Eurotankers has also been linked with the 112,900-dwt aframax HS Carmen (built 2003) for $11.3m.

However, the Eurotankers manager says it has not bought that ship.

Elias and Michael Gotsis-led Eurotankers has been expanding at a rapid rate, making eight confirmed tanker purchases since March 2016 for an estimated total outlay of about $140m.

Ridgebury declined to comment on the matter when contacted by TradeWinds.
