Greek shipowner Almi Tankers has tied up two VLCC newbuildings on three-year charters with US trader Koch Industries in a deal worth about $60m.
European shipbrokers said the 316,000-dwt Almi Titan and Almi Atlas (both built 2018) have been chartered at $27,000 per day each.
Almi ordered the "eco-friendly" VLCCs at South Korea's Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in September 2016, reportedly for $85.5m
