Gener8 Maritime delivered formal notice to Navig8 that it will be pulling out 20 of its very large crude carriers and six suezmaxes out of two tanker pools.
The move comes as Gener8 readies to close its $504m acquisition by Euronav in a $504m deal. It's a not entirely unexpected development as Euronav runs its own VLCC pool, Tankers International, which currently lists 39 VLCCs under commercial management.
