TheGovernment-controlled fund has sold its 4% stake in the company developing thefirst US LNG export terminal at Sabine Pass.
The move comes just15 months after Temasek made the acquisition. However, the shares have risenover 68% over that same time frame.
Temaseksaid it had sold 9.2m shares in Houston-based Cheniere in the second quarter,according to a US regulatory filing.
Whilethe sale is in line with Temasek’s plans to become a more “active investor”, ithas cast a doubt over its future involvement in the LNG sector.
