Thecompany confirmed that its board had made a final investment decision (FID) on theplant which will be built at Soma Port.
Totalconstruction costs for Soma LNG receiving terminal and connecting pipeline willbe around JPY 60bn ($580m).
Japexhas been carrying out a front-end engineering design (FEED) including demandsurvey for the new receiving terminal since November last year.
Currentplans call for the construction to be completed in December 2017 and theterminal to be operational in March 2018.
