The subsidiary of Algerian energy company Sonatrach has picked Meyer Werft and Kyokuyo Shipyard for one vessel each of between 11,000 cbm and 13,000 cbm, sources close to the owner told L’Econews.
The deals are part of Sonatrach’s aim to carry 50% of its products itself.
Meyer Werft said it could not comment on market rumours.
Hyproc currently has 16 ships, including six LPG vessels.
