Christodoulou will replace Ioannis Lazaridis as both chief executive and chief financial officer at the Nasdaq-quoted shipowner.
Marinakis told investors Christodoulou, the former deputy chief executive of the National Bank of Greece, is one of the most experienced and senior bankers based in the country with extensive understanding of the international capital and public markets.
Marinakis added: “Petros's track record over the past years working for major publicly listed organizations has been outstanding, having guided substantial debt, quasi-equity and equity financings in the international and US markets.
