Suncor Energy is said to have hired the 106,600-dwt Genmar Daphne (built 2002) to load a cargo for the US Gulf Coast.

It comes just a few days after the oil giant fixed Minerva Maritime’s 115,900-dwt Minerva Gloria (built 2009) with the first cargo from the Sorel-Tracy facility on the St Lawrence River for Italy.

Sources indicate the Genmar tanker has been fixed at WS 100, which compares with the WS 77.5
