The move for the 8,000-dwt Eships Bainunah strengthens its position in the bunker industry, it said.
The vessel is already part of the Monjasa fleet via a time charter.
It will become owned by January 2015, with Monjasa also handling technical management.
The name will change to African Sprinter, under the Maltese flag.
