The Oslo-listed owner says Hammer is departing immediately due to “different views on the strategic direction of the company”.
Laurence Odfjell, chairman of the tanker and terminal company, told TradeWinds: “This is sad on a personal note having worked with Jan for many years, but there is no drama.”
Details on the diverging strategic views which led to Hammer’s departure were not presented in the shipowner’s statement to investors today.
