Sheth will continue in the top job until at least 2020.
But his brother Ravi Sheth indicated to the board he was unwilling to continue as executive director beyond March.
He wants to focus on his role with the company’s Greatship offshore vessel subsidiary, where he is managing director.
He will remain as a non-executive board member at Great Eastern, however.
